Door card side light, lights up when door is opened! off when door closed!
Had a hard time on this for so long, never know which wires is the correct one, so i gave up 2 times, and keep on searching on google, and finially came up some idea and tey to find which wires is the correct one... OH yes!! i got it!!

Here is a tip... enjoy D. I. Y !

V68 flap motor switch fix....

What is it? is the V68 flap motor, a switch which control and mix the warm and cold air, if it goes wrong, you will found a fault code after a VAG-COM scan.... (P1271)

01271 - Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68): Faulty
Possible Causes:
* Wiring/Connectors from/to Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68) faulty
* Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68) blocked
* Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68) faulty

Disassemble the dash and get the V68 motor out, is hiding inside and behind the passenger glove box. I did a little bit more, to fix the annoying rattle sound came out from the center console.

Here is the V68 motor, checked ebay, Taobao, they don't have a new one at stock, just a used one... sad.... found the V68 motor on E-bay, but it was a different version, the cable plug was different from the one i got, so it was not the one i need,

Here is the back of the switch

Take a look inside, I found out it should be re-grease, all the grease was dried out, motor still works, but it can only switch from 18c - 30c, but can't switch it to 22c or something... extreme cold and hot...

The switch is hiding inside, u need sometime to get into it... not too difficult, just need time and patience, dunno how much the garage will charge you to do such a job, it must be expensive... why not take some of your time and save some bux for a cold beer?

Here is the switch with casing, you could see those wiring, that was the cable plug wires....

Back to China, and see if they have the same switch, hell yes!! ... they do! Basically, they have the same design, but the back of the gear is different, so i need to make some modify on it.

Left: China made, Right: Original

Open it up, same thing, and it may work. why not give it a try? they both have 5 pins, motor and gears inside, they are all the same, but i feel that the China one will work and last longer then the original one, it some how more mechanical... easy to fix.

But the bad thing came right after it replaced the motor, it just the same as before!! 18c and 30c ONLY!! and i was like... WTF? then i search on Google, and see of there is any solution on it. and ya! right after replace the switch, you need to use VAG-COM to reset the switch back to basic setting.  and it's now working fine!!  may be the old one can do this VAG-COM reset as well, so i don't need to relace it... give a try on it if u have V68 fault code problem....

Procedures as following:

[select]
[08 - Heat/Air conditioning]
[Basic setting - 04]
